Hi There, Blue Lens Studios:

Absolutely! You are allowed two registered installs (not to be confused with concurrent use) and can deactivate/activate as many times as you wish, allowing you to bounce your license to a needed system.

No, SplashCase is not ready for purchase-yet. We have been carefully tweaking our registration server to accommodate Subscription-Based Licenses and SplashCase is the product that will lead the charge for this change-over.

Why subscription-based? In short, we're tired of holding back great ideas and features for the big point releases. Charging upgrade prices for 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. does not seem right, so we've opted for a strategy that best serves our users and will allow us to put food on our tables. SplashCase will retail very soon, we promise! in the mean-time, we will keep the beta's time-out date far enough into the future so no one gets caught without a working copy. Keep up with the latest version and all will be well!

When my subscription ends, will my software shut down? No, not at all. Subscription licensing means that you will be guaranteed upgrades for the duration of your purchase period. If you opt not to renew, you can still use any version that was released during your purchase period. We're really good about updating our products, especially if a bug turns up- so we believe that our users will welcome this change.

Yes and yes! We've already done massive POS/viewing stations privately and are overcoming the biggest challenge: price point and scalability. We're committed to nailing down both of these issues in an effort to best serve our user base. The only unfortunate part of this is that we don't have these products shipping today.

I love to hear that people are pleased with our products- thank you!

My final thought to you is that you will receive a discount for a SplashCase purchase, whether you buy PrintRipper today or bundled with SplashCase at a later date. Again, we want to do well by our customers!

Hi Mike,

Launch PrintRipper. Go to the Help Menu in your menu bar and then to "Deactivate".

Activating and de activating is a pain... ... I deactivated my MB Pro and trying to activate my IMac... not working. Does my laptop have to be connected to the internet to deactivate? Mike

Hi Mike,

For proper deactivation, you do need an internet connection. Try again- I gave you a little assistance :-)

Activation systems are, by nature, prohibitive. I couldn't agree with you more with your sentiments. That said, it's one of the reasons why we allow two activations instead of one. Our only other solution would be to use a dongle, which I think complicates things even further and increases costs unnecessarily.

If you continue to have issues, let me know.
