Plug in your compatible Canon or NikonDSLR, go into settings, and choose DSLR Camera Control- That's it.
The DSLR setup window gives you an overview of camera settings, lets you take test shots, preview live view, and set up your video capture settings (for compatible DSLRs).
SnapShot Studio™ is compatible with the latest Canon and Nikon DSLRs, offers live view, supports older PTP enabled Nikon DSLRs, and is compatible with most webcams.
When running your photo booth session, you do not need to worry if your customers will be cropped out of the picture.
SnapShot Studio™ automatically crops your live view feed to the same aspect ratio as your printed photos- automatically.
While some photo booth software will allow for full-screen live view, it is rare and very unlikely that your screen will share the same aspect ratio as your individual printed photos. Aspect-ratio cropping ensures picture-perfect results every time!
If you wish to shoot green screen with your photo booth software, you'll love the live view keying in SnapShot Studio™. Just turn on the live keying feature in the green screen section of the layout builder.
ShootinPortrait or Landscapeorientations- SnapShot Studio™ will detect the orientation change and make adjustments accordingly. No special settings needed.
Complete Layout Freedom
Looking to create a layout that is different than the average
Photo Booth layout? SnapShot Studio™ gives you all the flexibility you need.
The Background Layer lets you add any background of your choice to your custom layout. The background layer is the first drawn, so other graphic items will be drawn on top of it.
The Photos layer is the next layer to be drawn. Use the color adjustment controls to create a unique look,
set up black and white photos, sepia, or duotone; use the green screen option for added effect.
The Overlay Layer is a graphic that can sit on top of the photos and background layers. The overlay layer allows
for transparency, so you can create photo frames outside of the typical square shaped style or even add a
filtering effect to your overall layout.
The Banner Layer is the last to be drawn. Typical use of this layer is to personalize the event, but you can
use it for whatever you like. Similar to the overlay layer, you can take advantage of transparency.
Why So Many Layers?
You could easily create a single Overlay graphic that includes everything that you need, banners and background. The advantage to using multiple layers is that you can mix/match with other elements or quickly tailor an existing layout for another customer. The choice is yours- we provide the tools to get the job done.
A Theme for every Occasion- With Your Own Brand
You've gone through great lengths to create beautiful photo booth layouts- why not tailor your user interface to reflect the same attention and care?
SnapShot Studio™ photo booth software lets you deliver a unique look and feel to your user interface by giving you the power to create your own themes. Buttons, backgrounds, messages, sounds: you can create an experience like no other photo booth software. You can also brand the interface for your own business or for your clients.
Edit or copy an existing theme, start with a blank canvas- it's up to you. When you've created your new theme, it is saved and available for use whenever you choose.
Photo Booth Video with your DSLR
If you have a Nikon or Canon DSLR that can capture video,
SnapShot Studio™ Professional will enable the video option in the DSLR setup window.
For Canon DSLRs, you will need to set your camera (dial) to video mode. Most, if not all
will be able to capture video as well as take still photos in video mode. Enable video capture,
choose your countdown time, where you want to save video, and select whether or not you wish to
allow retakes. Nikon users won't have to set their DSLR to video mode, but will need to set up the video
options in the camera setup window. SnapShot Studio™ Professional will automatically detect if
your Nikon DSLR is video capable.
Facebook Posting in Realtime
Post photos to your Facebook account, Facebook Fan Page, or let your users
post to their own accounts. If you have internet access at your event, you can even post
SnapShot Studio™ Professional will use the SnapShot Studio™ Facebook uploader app by default.
Your Own Facebook Brand
SnapShot Studio™ Professional lets you use your own Facebook AppID, so you
can maintain your branding with your posts.
Email Photos; Connect with other Social Media
Realtime email is also available with SnapShot Studio™ Professional. Setting up email
is no different than setting up a standard email client: You'll need your User Name, Password, SMTP Address and
Set Email to a Specific Address
If you want your photos to go to a variety of Social Media sites, you can use the single address option. Sites
like SmugMug will accept emails with photo attachments for realtime uploading. Services like Pikchur and MobyPicture let you send emails to your account with them and will automatically post your photos to social media sites of your choice.
Email to Your Users
You can enable user email in your photo booth as well. This will allow users the option of entering their email address and receiving their photo at the end of their session. User Email is always optional; a user can choose not to enter
their email address and still receive their print.
Services for High Volume Emailing
Unfortunately, many email providers limit email or charge an additional fee for volume email. You may want to consider low-cost or even free services like PostMark and MailJet. We are a fan of these services and both will work with SnapShot Studio™ Professional.
There are some email services that will not work with SnapShot Studio™ Professional. If you are having difficulties with your email, test with a free Gmail account to see if it may be a settings problem first.
SnapShot Studio™ Professional is bundled with a large list of MMS gateways from
around the world. You will need to set up an email address, set the maximum size of the photo, and choose the appropriate country in order to send your MMS. Your users will only need to select their mobile carrier and enter their mobile number to receive their photos.
Our MMS gateway list can be edited and updated; if you find an outdated gateway or one that works better than
we have listed, let us know and we will include it as an update with SnapShot Studio™.
SnapShot Studio™ Professional comes with a standard, fully loaded FTP client-right in your photo booth!
You can browse, upload, download, and delete files and directories from the FTP client, which is a
convenience and time-saver if you need to set up or modify image or web gallery uploads.
FTP posting needs only to be able to connect to your server and know where you wish to upload. Enter your
FTP credentials into the client and select a directory.
You can also set a maximum image size to be uploaded. this is especially convenient if you don't want to
load large, print resolution files to your server.
You also have the option of loading your photo booth composite image (what the user sees/prints), the individual photos taken, or both.
As with all options that
require an internet connection, FTP posting can be done in realtime or automatically batched for uploading later.
Creating a beautiful web gallery doesn't have to be difficult. SnapShot Studio™ Professional makes it easy to create custom web galleries and load them to your website in realtime.
Page Title, Gallery Name, Gallery Description, Logo, and Credit Link can be tailored to your needs. Right-click, edit, and save!
You have full control over text, text color, links, and image sizes. Your web gallery is not a Flash-based gallery, which means that it requires no special plugins and can be viewed on most mobile devices and tablets.
Lead Capture Options
For trade shows and corporate events, being able to capture leads is essential.
With SnapShot Studio™ Professional, you can capture general user data, email addresses, barcodes, data from
magnetic swipe cards, and RFID devices. Your users are prompted to enter/scan their information before their
The data collected is stored in .CSV format and ties the photos taken to the user. The data
.CSV file is stored in the folder you chose to save captured images, keeping you well-organized throughout
Built-in Slide Show Module
If you use a second monitor with your Photo Booth, you can use it to run realtime
slide shows of your event. You can select the number of photos to show at a time, set your own backdrop, duration, and even feature the latest image that has been added.
Add Relay Control to Your Photo Booth
Relay control is one of the most powerful and least understood feature in a
Photo Booth setup. SnapShot Studio™ Professional ties in seamlessly with the Phidgets 1014 Relay, which
offers 4 independent switches.
These switches can control electrical streams, turning on/off devices such
as lights at specific events triggered by your Photo Booth. You can set it to turn on your LED lights that crown your booth on startup, turn on your continuous lighting only when a photo session is running and then turn them off when
the Photo Booth is idle; You can turn on your lit print drop, then turn it off after a specified timeframe
Un-Booth Your Photo Booth Software with a Wireless Remote
There may be instances where using a touch screen or other trigger that is attached
to your booth may be inconvenient, if not completely unusable. If this is the case, consider using a wireless
remote like the Apple Remote [Mac Only] or Logitech's R400 Presenter. These give you the power to control your
photo booth at a touch of a button!
For example, you may wish to use your photo booth for a Santa portrait event. The typical Santa photo usually
has Santa in his chair with a child on his lap. You can easily control the photo session via remote- or better
yet- put the remote in Santa's hand!
